  I would say that that is what Will's aunt was referring to. Sometimes it helps to read all the posts before defending the statements of all. Personally I have to be pretty passionate to read all the posts myself. Sometimes people just ramble off shit. (Sorry) That's why I tend to keep it short and to the point.

  Either way, you kill someone, you pay. Religion aside, dont kill people.

  Poor Will, a victim of life's capricious flim flams. We all have our own tragedies in life, some do time, some dont. Some get off clean. Hope someone here was able to navigate life with the least amount of victimization.

  Why don't JWs pursue hobbies?

  in the congregation that we used to go to, and my parents and most of my relatives still do, very few had hobbies and interests other than being bound to the wtbts.. many made wine and brewed their own beer.

  infact, all of my relatives are wine and beer makers.

  there are a few gardeners, but i'm hearing how they are trying to grow their own grapes and fruit so that they can make their own wine!.

  Every witness I've had the pleasure to know, believes in some wierdass holistic health solution to your health problem. They all believe that the AMA is out to suppress any kind of treatment that wont make doctors money. They take this view to such an extreme that they will go to mexican clinics to have peachpit juice injected to stop cancer. My own aunt would spend her money on these whacked out cures even when she wasn't sick. It cant hurt was her philosophy. The longer I was a witnoid, the more I ran into desperate witnesses trying to find an alternate way to treat themselves of thier hypocondria. (SP?)

  Coffee enemas were the rage for awhile. Then there was a protien drink and Mellaluca, these all have come and gone despite being the health cure for all mankinds ails. They would have loved the golden age magazine and its suggestion of air baths.

  One MD said about these coffee enemas and thier usefullness, "If you like your coffee, drink it, dont sit on it." Sage advice.

  If you are one who loves alternatative medicines, more power to you. Most witnoids who did would not stop hounding me about it even when told to shut the hell up.

  Some had thought the "load" he prayed to have removed was his need to die. That wouldn't make sense. He came to die, (they say). The explanition that he didn't want to die as a blasphemer makes perfect sense. Here he's the WORD, the champion of God and he is to die with this tag on him? Ew.

  I don't give a fudge either way. This has been the teaching for many years now, at least since 1985. Not new. Just new to you... I bet it doesn't keep you up nights either.

  as a former jehovah's witness have you been enticed to consider another religion perhaps, seeking to find "the truth" ?

  When you step out of the religious mindset, you become aware of how the world relates to you. Before that, I was always looking at how the world related to my beliefs. The "System of Things" was going to attack my religion, I was hated by the world because of my faith and discipleship of Christ. Now that I'm not in any religion, no one gives a crap about me in any of those ways. I don't have any of those stresses!

  My search for God is now reversed. He can look for me. If he exists, he has confirmation that I do. I don't have anything to prove to him, he has to prove to me that he exists. If he can't do that, then I can't see worrying about it. Ok, the world and all that's in it, blah blah blah. Ok, that could also be tweaked by a skewed view of it. You see all the violence in nature and the fighting to have the best position and its very much like the men we see. So, there it is. WHen the creator communicates with me in a concrete way, I'll accept it. Until then, I choose to be a good person and stay the hell out of religion's way. I could care less if any book is from him or not. I don't trust any man who says, "This way".
